A friend of mine passed me a Sata DVD burner that would no longer write but could read well and that is what I have in my system. I would test it both ways. If what you say was true, performing a driver update with automatic search pointing to the driver’s folder would not install them either. Simply put — run the most current driver package install, then cancel it. Thanks for the updates.

You might want to test it out. Yeah, I’m aware of a poorly implemented hardware check at the installer’s startup, which aborts if it doesn’t detect an AMD video ahcu.

I copied the entire amd folder to an usb. Strangely just the usual windows experience feels smoother as well. These convertors work at the lowest Sata settings 1 or 1. For ahic I have an old laptop that came with windows 7, if i format with Win7 i will have to install the wifi drivers to get wireless to work.
It would be good if they will follow up driver development to see if AMD has fixed the issues.
